 Hate Crime In Our Once Peaceful Borough
Eric Stephanson, of local Caswell Lakes area residence, travelled along the roadway of Amundsen Road. From the rider's platform of the snow-mobile he was riding, Stephanson confronted his soon-to-be victim, an 73-year-young resident of the area, and disabled Veteran. Intent on addressing the unlawful use of the roadways upon an off-road-use-only vehicle by his as-yet unrecognized assailant, the victim had left the cab of his snow-plow-equipped pick-up truck. He had been, up to that time, using the truck in the removal of snow from his own driveway and the immediately adjacent, under-maintained roadways.
Stephanson halted briefly, 150 feet away, gunning the engine of his snow-machine. This was not, for him, a new or even unusual confrontation with his now-intended victim. Gathering his mettle, Stephanson charged forward on his machine...

Case number: 09-57283
Type: Eluding First Degree, DUI
Text: On 7-4-09 at approximately 0121 hours, Troopers attempted to stop a Polaris ATV for operating on the roadway in the Caswell Lakes subdivision. The driver was later identified as Troy Martin, age 42 of Palmer. Martin accelerated the ATV to a high rate of speed, attempting to elude the Trooper. Martin drove the ATV onto a narrow path into the woods, where Troopers pursued the ATV on foot. Troopers caught up to Martin approximately 1/2 mile into the woods and Martin was placed under arrest. Investigation revealed that Martin was driving under the influence of alcohol. Martin was remanded into MSPT, where bail was set at $5,000 cash plus CATP.

RSA-15 Road Maintenance Contract Violations
There are a number of problems with the RSA15 roads in Caswell Lakes Subdivision and the general Montana creek area. This has been an ongoing problem, which has been left unresolved over the past several years. MSB has yet to address the concerns of the Citizens that reside in these areas, despite repeated efforts to prompt the administration ot take up these concerns. In years past [these] conditions have led to dangerous, even impassable roads, contributing to significant road erosion, flooding, degredation of overall road quality, etc....

Veterans and The Health Care Act
"Reconciliation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act"
...on the morning of December 24, the Senate passed 60-39 amuch amended HR 3590, "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
This vote and the previous House passage of this legislation is contrary with the growing sentiments of 2/3 of the American People who are against this "stealth" legislation. Regardless of which national poll you might consider this public disapproval of this legislation varies little from poll to poll.
As the next step in the process is reconciliation of the significantly different House and Senate versions, but which neither makes provision to protect Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense health-care from the provisions of this legislation.....
